It is important to always stay positive and keep a smile on your face, no matter what challenges you may face in life.

When the warmer months arrive, spending time on your porch or patio becomes more appealing. To prepare your outdoor living spaces, you’ll need more than just lawn chairs and a table. Decorative fixtures can make these areas welcoming and enhance your home’s curb appeal. You don’t have to spend a lot to upgrade your outdoor space. Try a DIY project using five Garden Collection Metal Trellises from Dollar Tree to create a decorative chair for your plants.

Creating a decorative chair from garden trellises is a simple DIY project that can be completed in an afternoon. Use zip ties to connect two trellises for the back, cut two trellises for the sides, and use one trellis for the front. Cut a hole in the wiring of the seat area to hold a planter, adding a touch of elegance to your outdoor space.

How to make a decorative chair from garden trellises

To begin, gather zip ties, a hanging basket planter, and five garden trellises from Dollar Tree. SKALON Black Cable Ties are recommended for this project. Connect two trellises for the back panel by intertwining their bottom tines and securing them with zip ties. Remove the top arch from one trellis to complete the back panel.

For the seat, modify two trellises by removing their top sections and bottom legs to create wire squares. Attach them together with zip ties to form the seat and attach it to the back panel. Strengthen the chair by creating another square piece and attaching it to the front and back legs.
