IKEA Introduces a Stylish New Line to Enhance Bathroom Accessibility

Life is full of challenges, but for those with mobility issues, everyday tasks can be even more difficult. IKEA’s new BÄSINGEN series offers a budget-friendly solution to make your home more accessible without sacrificing style. The sleek collection of bathroom accessories is designed with rounded corners, thick grips, and a charcoal gray color for easy use and visibility. The entire line can be purchased for under $150.

A look at BÄSINGEN

The IKEA BÄSINGEN series includes six pieces designed for easy use and timeless style. The collection features a shower shelf, a shower stool, a toilet paper holder, a towel rack, and one-step and two-step stepstools with handrails. Crafted from smooth tubular metal in anthracite color, these pieces blend seamlessly into any decor.

IKEA’s Product Design Developer, Wâtte Zijlstra, aimed to create products that meet the needs of all individuals. The modern design of BÄSINGEN focuses on accessibility without compromising style, as stated by IKEA’s senior designer, Sarah Fager.

Multifunctional inclusivity

The BÄSINGEN series is designed to increase the accessibility of your home. Made from powder-coated stainless steel, these pieces are durable in wet environments. With drainage holes and dual-purpose rails and shelves, every detail is considered for safety and functionality.

The step stools can be used beyond the bathroom, thanks to non-slip feet and surfaces. The additional towel rack can also serve as a support handle for balance control. Whether you have mobility issues or not, BÄSINGEN products are adaptable to your changing needs.
