Create Your Own Minimalist Vase in Minutes with this IKEA Hack

Enhancing a surface with a simple vase can instantly elevate the aesthetic of a space. Whether left empty as a decorative piece or filled with a floral arrangement, finding the perfect minimalist vase can greatly improve the overall look. If you’re feeling crafty, you can create your own with a DIY hack using IKEA products.

Inspired by @homedecordiy, this vase hack involves using two VILJESTARK clear glass vases from IKEA, costing only $0.99 each. These vases serve as the base for the new vase. You’ll also need a hot glue gun, white spray paint, and textured stone-effect spray paint. After gluing the vases together, apply the white spray paint followed by the stone-textured spray paint for a natural finish.

This DIY vase looks intricate despite its simplicity, thanks to the spiraled glass effect created by the vases. You can personalize the project by experimenting with different paint colors. Consider using robin’s egg blue for a springtime feel or metallic gold for a luxurious touch. Fill the vase with dried flowers for a romantic look or repurpose it as a candle holder with frosted glass paint and glass pebbles.
