Create a Beautiful Spring Floral Candle Holder Using Dollar Tree Supplies

As spring approaches and the flowers begin to bloom, why not create a beautiful candle holder inspired by spring florals to enjoy while waiting for those first blossoms? Refresh your living space with a charming candle holder featuring a base adorned with greenery and an elegant beaded arch. You can craft this for less than $10 using items from Dollar Tree. A flameless candle flickering among faux flowers and leaves beneath an artful arch is a delightful project for a rainy April day.

Fill your Dollar Tree basket with a pack of 4.5 by 4.5-inch Crafter’s Square Wood Planks, a Crafter’s Square Wooden Bead Wreath, floral foam, your choice of flowers and greenery, and an LED candle. The classic Luminescence Battery-Operated LED Candle is a great choice, but Dollar Tree also offers a variety of LED candles and lanterns, such as metallic or glitter pillars, small votives, crystal table lights, or even light-up figurines, allowing for creative variations.

While browsing the crafting aisle, consider the available paint colors as the brown wooden beads on the wreath can look even more charming with a layer of coordinating paint. For tools, gather a glue gun and painting supplies (if you decide to paint) from your crafting toolbox and a serrated knife from the kitchen.

Spring Florals by Candlelight

Prepare to adorn your home with floral beauty! Remove some beads from your wreath to reveal a portion of wire. Alternatively, remove about half of the beads to create an arch with both exposed wire and beads. If you’re painting your beaded wreath, do so now, ensuring the paint is thoroughly dry before proceeding.

Press the clasp area of the wreath against a tabletop to gently flatten the wire. Use the serrated knife to cut a block of floral foam matching the size of one of your wooden planks, and glue the foam onto the plank. If you enjoy pool noodle hacks and have an extra piece, use it instead of floral foam; it’s a great alternative for floral arranging.

Move the beads away from the clasp, and insert the clasp area and bare wire into the foam. Apply glue around the wire to secure it in the foam. Insert enough flower and leaf stems into the foam or pool noodle to cover its surface, leaving a flat area in the center for your candle. Place your candle there, and fill in any gaps with additional flowers or foliage.
