TikToker @tinalemacsaw took advantage of this and transformed hers with checkered sides and hand-painted floral details. To achieve a similar look, she stained the wood pieces with Varathane Classic Penetrating Wood Stain in Early American before assembling them, giving the pine a warm tone.
She then measured out two-inch-wide vertical rectangles on the legs of the cart and painted every other square with Behr Paint’s Siam Gold to create a checkered pattern. Adding flower-like shapes inside the gold blocks and green stems and leaves in the blank squares, she completed the design with golden yellow circles at the center of each bloom. You can customize your cart with different designs, just make sure to use wood-safe paint like acrylic, latex, or oil-based.
