Create a Delightful Easter Garland with Simple DIY Materials

Preparing your home for Easter can seem daunting without a starting point, so try simplifying the process by crafting your own decorations. A quick and easy DIY Easter decor project you might enjoy is creating a garland with just a few basic supplies. To craft this festive piece for your home, simply thread a ribbon through several foam rabbits by making a hole in the center of each using a pencil or wooden dowel. Consider using LUOEM Rabbit Foam Shapes and a thick pastel-colored ribbon of your choice to create this charming decoration.

One advantage of making your own garland is the ability to tailor it to your preferences. For an enhanced DIY Easter decor project, you could paint the foam rabbits or add large pastel beads to the ribbon. Once you’ve threaded the ribbon through the foam rabbits and added your personal creative touches, you’ll have a unique garland to hang over your fireplace, above a window, or any place in your home you want to brighten up for the holiday.

Should you decide to paint your foam rabbits, this should be your initial step. However, applying spray paint directly without a proper primer can be problematic, as spray paint may melt foam. To avoid this, simply use a primer like the Krylon Craft Foam Primer before applying spray paint to each foam rabbit.

Once the paint has thoroughly dried, proceed with assembling your DIY Easter garland. To attach the rabbits to the ribbon, wrap the fabric around the tip of a long pointed object and pull it through each foam rabbit from end to end. If opting for LUOEM Rabbit Foam Shapes, note that they are not mounted on sticks as shown above.

Thus, you’ll need to use a wooden dowel, pen, or pencil for this step instead of removing a stick for this purpose, as the content creator did. Enhance your garland by incorporating elements like flowers or beads between the rabbits. As for the ribbon, finding a roll in your favorite pastel shade should be easy. Alternatively, select a ribbon with an Easter-themed pattern, such as those in the colorful Riffance Easter Ribbon set. These personalized touches will make your DIY garland uniquely yours.
